September 29th, 1967

During registration at San Francisco State today, a hippie takes off all his clothes on the lawn, walks around, sits under tree. A demonstration against the imprisonment of clothes—if the animal can be free why can't we?

When the cops come to get him, his girlfriend takes off her clothes & gets in the cop car with them.

At the police station she puts her clothes back on, but he remains naked, claiming he isn't ashamed of his body.

Working as teaching assistant now. I’ll make up exams & grade papers in 2 of my classes. $120 a month.
